Our Story
Sun Dog Roastery grew out of a love of great food and drink and a hunt for better ways to make it. It began with home roasting in a whirly-pop popcorn maker, then a home-built drum roaster on the backyard grill, where the founders learned the smells, the sights and how roast profiles work. They then moved up to a commercial roaster and larger batches, which left more beans than they could drink. They shared them with friends and neighbors, who asked for more, and that is how Sun Dog Roastery came about. Their motto: friends don't let friends drink bad coffee.
