Specialty coffee roaster and cafe in Savannah, Georgia, with a second cafe on Hilton Head Island. Every coffee is roasted in-house at the flagship on Martin Luther King Jr Blvd and served daily.
Origin Coffee Bar began with a simple idea from owners Matt and Elise Higgins: that coffee, when done well, creates moments of connection. Their flagship in downtown Savannah is a refurbished early-20th-century building that holds the cafe, the roastery, a full-service kitchen and the company HQ. Guests pass through the archways and can watch the team roasting, training and tasting, with a coffee bar, a retail section and an all-day brunch. A second cafe opened at 35 Main Street on Hilton Head Island, minutes from the beach. The team roasts in Savannah for both cafes and for wholesale partners across the Lowcountry, from restaurants and bakeries to hotels, and describes itself as a partner rather than a supplier: consistent roasting, reliable delivery and hands-on barista training.
