About
Ross Street Roasting is a specialty coffee roaster in Tama, Iowa. Founded in 2015, RSR hand-roasts small batches of relationship and direct-trade coffee sourced from around the world and ships nationwide.
Our Story
Ross Street Roasting was founded in 2015 by Brian Gumm and began on a small-town street called Ross. The roastery operates out of a building in Tama, Iowa that once housed a farm feed, grain-milling and supply store - the namesake of their Jack's Feed Store blend. Every batch is roasted by hand, and RSR sources much of its coffee through direct "relationship coffee" partnerships with growers in places like Papua New Guinea, Brazil and Nicaragua, built to ensure quality and equitable pay for the farmers who produce it.
