Est. 2020
Hazard Coffee Company is a specialty coffee roaster in downtown Hazard, Kentucky, roasting small-batch beans in-house across two Eastern Kentucky locations.
Hazard Coffee Company was started in 2020 by Stephen and Maggie Prosser. Stephen, a former geochemist, brings a data-driven approach to roasting; Maggie, a Hazard native, was drawn home to help revitalize the growing downtown. What began as a hometown project now runs two Eastern Kentucky locations, in Hazard and Whitesburg, roasting in-house and serving as a community gathering space.
