Aldea Coffee

We started with a simple belief: that business can be a force for good when people and purpose come first. What began as a nonprofit effort in La Unión, Honduras, has grown into a purpose-driven company devoted to crafting exceptional specialty coffee with lasting social and environmental impact. We believe great coffee starts long before it’s brewed, with care for the people, places, and process behind it. By partnering directly with farmers, importing and sustainably roasting our own coffee, and reinvesting in the communities where our story began, we create meaningful connections from origin to cup, honoring those who grow it, the earth that sustains it, and the people who share in it. Here along Michigan’s lakeshore, our cafés are welcoming spaces where great coffee and camaraderie come together. Each visit is an invitation to slow down, to appreciate where things come from, and to experience how conscious craft can inspire us to explore, enjoy, and preserve the world around us. Because extraordinary coffee can do more than taste good: it can change how we connect and care for each other and the world we share.
