About
I&L Coffee Roasters is a small husband-and-wife roastery in western Nebraska. They air-roast organic single-origin coffee in small batches, buy most of their green coffee through Genuine Origin, and sell it online, by subscription, and at Main Street Market in Scottsbluff.
Our Story
It started with some borrowed raw Colombian beans, an old popcorn popper from Goodwill, and an old spoon from the kitchen. Isaac roasted his first batch, watched the green beans turn golden brown, tasted the result, and decided he could never go back to stale coffee. A one pound home roaster was gifted to him soon after, and he and his wife signed up for their church craft fair and sold completely out. When demand outgrew the home roaster, it blew up, and they bought a commercial machine. Their stated mission since then has been twofold: to share the message of the gospel of Jesus Christ, and to share it through the avenue of fresh roasted coffee.
