Orion Coffee And Tea is a small-batch coffee roaster and loose leaf tea shop with a cafe in Cedarville, Ohio, a drive-thru in Jamestown and a roastery in Springfield, where coffee is roasted to order a few times a week.
Our Story
Eric and Sharayah Irwin bought Telemetry Coffee Roasters from its founder, Taylor Minor, in December 2018, and in August 2019 they rebranded it as Orion Coffee And Tea. The first big change was tea: Orion now carries more than 24 loose leaf teas from suppliers and farmers around the world, alongside the coffee. In 2021 roasting, production and the back office moved to a roastery in Springfield, run as Strider Coffee Roasters, which roasts two or three times a week for the cafes, the retail bags and online orders shipped nationwide. A dedicated coffee trader sources, grades and tastes every coffee before it is bought. The family of brands also includes Nebula Coffee Cart, which started serving weddings in 2020 and now runs multiple carts at events across Ohio, Kentucky and Indiana, and The Brass Soda Cart. Several Orion bags support missionaries, with a portion of each purchase going to their work.
