Thomas & Fisk is a veteran-owned, micro-batch coffee roaster in Pittsburgh, roasting to order 100% organically grown, fair trade, single-origin beans.
Our Story
Thomas & Fisk grew out of the founder's childhood on the Arabian Peninsula, where coffee is engrained into the culture, originating back to the nascent commercial coffee trade in the 15th century. As an adult, he picked up home-roasting as a hobby, disastrously roasting his very first batch with a cast iron skillet on the stovetop before moving to home drum and air roasters and, eventually, small-batch production. Then, during the COVID-19 lockdown he went down the roasting craft rabbit hole in earnest. A combat veteran with 28 years of combined active-duty and reserve service, Tim knows the horrors of bad coffee first hand. We roast in quantity for our wholesale clients, but roast to order in batches as small as 1kg at a time to fill individual retail orders, and ship anywhere in the country.
