Arkansas's specialty coffee scene punches well above the state's profile, anchored by Bentonville's Onyx Coffee Lab, one of the most-cited roasters in the country, and a Northwest Arkansas corridor that runs from Fayetteville through Springdale and Rogers. Little Rock, Hot Springs, the Ozarks, and the Delta each support their own operators, with 61 active independent roasters spread across the state.

Northwest Arkansas runs the state's most concentrated specialty coffee scene. Bentonville is anchored by Onyx Coffee Lab (among the most-cited specialty roasters in the country, with multiple US Barista Championship and Brewers Cup wins under various team members and a national wholesale program) plus Airship, Heroes, and Kennedy Coffee Roasting Company. Fayetteville extends the corridor with Arsaga's, Bethel Brew, Confident Coffee Roasters, Dodo, Doomsday, Old Pine Coffee Roasters, and Rubach Coffee Company. Springdale brings Cafe con Chisme, Red Kite, Rooster Coffee Labs, Solway, and Talking Crow. Rogers has Bolder Coffee and Iron Horse. The four-city stretch from Bentonville south to Fayetteville is one of the densest specialty coffee corridors in the central US, supported by Walmart-and-Tyson HQ economic gravity.
Little Rock and the central Arkansas metro add a different flavor. Fidel & Co., Guillermo's, Mylo Coffee Co., and Nexus Coffee & Creative serve the capital city's specialty scene. North Little Rock brings Biff's Coffee Roasting Co., Dark Side Coffee Co., Monderosa Coffee Company, and Trailblazer Roasting Co. Conway has Blue Sail Coffee. Benton brings Lost Creek. Searcy has Midnight Oil and The Wolf Coffee Company. The central Arkansas coffee culture has matured fast over the last decade, with roasters supplying restaurants and offices across the metro and increasingly running their own cafe networks.
Beyond the two main corridors, Arkansas's coffee map reaches across the state. Hot Springs has JavaPrimo, Mug Shots, and Red Light Roastery. The Ozarks bring Eureka Springs roasters Fresh Beans, Gourmet Eureka, Mountain Bird, and NuJava. Mountain Home has 870 Coffee Co. Fort Smith, the state's western anchor, has Black Bison, Fort Smith Coffee Co., Fresh Beanz, and The Artistic Bean. Russellville brings Natural State Coffee Roasters and Retro Roasts. The Delta side is represented by Helena's Ridge City Roasters and Pine Bluff's Hometown Roasters. Atlas Coffee Company in Waldron and NUMU in Fox cover the smallest communities. Arkansas's 61 active independent roasters reach genuinely into corners of the state most coffee maps skip.
