Blacksmith Coffee Roastery roasts specialty grade coffee in a renovated century old blacksmith shop on Main Street in Lindsborg, Kansas, known as Little Sweden, USA. It buys through ethical traders who work directly with farmers, and the lineup runs from Scandinavian style blends to single origins. The coffeehouse pours drip and pour over coffee, espresso drinks, teas and smoothies alongside house made pastries and a limited breakfast and lunch menu, and there is a second drive thru in Salina.
Blacksmith Coffee is a coffeehouse in a uniquely renovated blacksmith shop in Lindsborg, Kansas. From the farmers and importers they work with directly, to the crafter, and finally to the customer, they strive to make meaningful relationships that instill deep roots in the surrounding communities and around the world. The rustic atmosphere, with the original forge and anvil, pays tribute to those who carefully forged their craft in this location over a century ago. Inside the restored shop is an antique lumber wagon converted into an espresso bar, a detailed history of the building on the south wall, the old forge, the anvil, and floors where wagon wheels were once completed by a blacksmith. The roastery sources only specialty grade coffee with no defects, and its partnership with ethical traders who buy direct from farmers is meant to ensure that everyone along the chain from seed to cup is treated with dignity and respect. Their roasters are trained in how the degree of roast and the geographical origin of a coffee shape each tasting note. The mission, in their words: to forge long lasting relationships with every person they encounter, because coffee should bring people together.
